According to the Omaha
World Herald, Omaha is a pretty great place to live, work and play. Which of
course the majority of us who get to live, work or play here already knew
right! We are often know for tour hot spots such as the Omaha Henry Doorly Zoo
the Joslyn Art Museum , which are great way to spend the day with family and
friends, but did you know there is even more off the beaten path. So
let’s take the next few days and explore those great things about Omaha that
are off the beaten path. I hope you enjoyed these places and spaces over the last
few days. If you get a chance to visit, send us a picture.
37. See what's going on at
the Holland Performing Arts center.
The Holland Performing Arts Center is
home to a variety of shows that feature broadway, jazz, blues, dance, comedy,
family entertainment, popular entertainment, a range of educational programs
and free community events. Check out their calendar of events and see if
anything piques your interest!
Dogs love to go outside just as much, if not more, than we do.
Change up their usual routine and take them to a dog park! It's a great way to
socialize your dog with other furry canines who love to run around. Go to Hefflinger Park
or Hanscom Park.
39. Have dinner and a movie
-- all in one place.
Featuring the best in digital surround sound, stadium seating, and
state of the art digital 3D, Marcus Majestic Cinema is
a five screen facility featuring CineDine, an all-reserved seat section for a
complete dining experience. Choose from an extensive food and beverage menu
prepared in our kitchen and served to your table while you enjoy your movie!
40. Put your feet to the
pedal.
Grab 16 of your closest friends and hop on the Omaha Patio Ride. It
is a giant party bike that is powered by you and your friends! This is like
renting a party bus or a limousine, but only better, because you provide the
pedal power! It comes with a driver and you go on a pub crawl tour of the Old
Market in downtown Omaha. You also get exclusive drink specials at most of the
bars!
